float.Ceiling()

Rounds the float value up to the nearest integer.

Syntax

int float.Ceiling()

Returns

The smallest int that is greater than or equal to the value of the float.

Sample

floatSample.rfs

var a = 42.56;
...
var b = -65.2;
...
var u = a.Ceiling();
var v = b.Ceiling();
trace "The smallest integer greater than ", a, " is ", u, " and the smallest integer greater than ", b, " is ", v;
"The smallest integer greater than ", 42.56, " is ", 43, " and the smallest integer greater than ", -65.2, " is ", -65
