Syntax

static float float.Parse(string string)

Parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
string (required)	string	The string to be converted.

Returns

The float value that corresponds to the string parameter. The method returns undefined if the string parameter does not denote a float.

var w = float.Parse(c);
trace c, " is a string, but ", w, " is a float!";
