The online signup at http://developers.mobilengine.com/ is your key to
Mobilengine solution development. The process and your dev account info is really intuitive,
so you probably won't have to read the guide below - go to the site, sign up, and come back
if you're unsure about something.
Sign up for a developer account

Go to
developers.mobilengine.com, and click Sign Up. -
Fill in the form, accept the terms, do the captcha at the bottom, and hit Sign up.
The tutorials use Petar Hoyt, a twenty-something Dutch developer as test persona whose email is petar.hoyt@gmail.com and whose password is 'Mobilengine123'. Feel free to impersonate him.
You need a mobile number associated with your account to be able to connect the Mobilengine mobile workflow app that is running on your mobile device, and your developer account on the Backoffice admin portal.

Check your inbox for the registration email.

When you get it, click the link, and set up a password.

Click the Set password button to log in to your personal Developer Dashboard.
Get to know your developer dashboard
The Developer Dashboard is your window to the Mobilengine world. It's the whole SDK,
gift-wrapped. If you haven't already, log in at developers.mobilengine.com
(or mobilengine.com/developers), and see what you've got.
Everything we know about you is listed at the top. If any of your account details
seems incorrect, go to the admin portal and make it right.
The Change your password and the Log out links are self-explanatory.
The link to the admin portal is where you can manage the mobile workflow solutions you
have published to the Mobilengine Developer Cloud, and their associated data, scripts, and
users.
The Webforms link takes you to the section of the admin portal where you can test the web apps that you publish. You can get started coding web apps right now.
If you'd like to install the Mobilengine workflow app on a smartphone, click the Send Install Sms link. A text message with a download link will shortly arrive on the mobile number associated with your account. For more info about installing the mobile app, read the guide.
If you don't have a mobile number, or indeed, a mobile device, you can download the app installer file directly via the Apk link. For more info, see the install notes.
The Mobilengine SDK Deployment Package is a link to the installer wizard of the Mobilengine Build Tool. Apart from your text editor, this is the bread and butter of your development work, so install and configure the tool pronto.
The Service URL is the HTTPS-protocol URL of your personal space on the Mobilengine Developer Cloud that goes with your developer account: it's the URL that you'll use the Mobilengine Build Tool to publish your solution artifacts to.
This is the URL that you'll want to set up as an environment variable when you install the mebt tool.
You can get in touch with the Mobilengine support staff in the way you find most
comfortable using the contact details listed in this section. This is also where you can
submit and keep track of support tickets for any bugs that you find and wish to report.
The Resources section of your Developer Dashboard is where
you'll find links to the documentation that you're reading right now, and to the tutorial
videos, if you are more of a visual learner.
The Integration guides link to the tutorials that tell you how to link the Mobilengine Cloud to external backend systems.
Edit your account details if necessary
If you've mistyped your name, want to change your mobile number, or your company has moved to a different time zone, you don't need to re-register.
You can edit your account details directly on the Backoffice admin website: just click Backoffice, sign in with your Mobilengine credentials, and on the Users tab of the site, click your username.
Edit the account details you need to, and click the Save link
at the top or bottom of the form dialog to store your changes.
